Whether it’s country cottages, Victorian houses, modern new builds or executive apartments, there’s a superb variety of homes to suit all incomes. The average house price is £142,237, which means people have more money to spend on the finer things, such as the area’s thriving independent shops and eateries.  

Nine out of ten Tees Valley primary schools are either good or outstanding, with colleges, apprenticeships and support schemes creating pathways for young people. Alongside excellent, high performing comprehensive schools, Yarm School, Red House School and Teesside High offer independent education for those aged between 3-18. Within an hour’s drive there’s ten key universities, including Teesside, Durham, Newcastle, York and Leeds.
